Hi, I am in usa since last one year. I purchased a property in india recently. I want this to be registered on my spouse name. she is also with me. My relatives are there in bangalore. Now I need to prepare General Power of Attorney issue.
1. Is that GPA needs to be notarized in US and send hard copy to india ? Is that works ?
2. Is that GPA also needs to notarized and also from Indian embassy in US ?
3. Can this be on blank paper ? Or does it be need to be on stamp paper ?
Can you please explain the process to get this done as I am new to this GPA process ? Thanks,
I advise you to retain an International lawyer. Otherwise it might not ne legal. An International lawyer will be sure it is legal and you might owe some property tax too even though the property is in India. Please find a reputable International lawyer.
